Liverpool receive huge double injury boost ahead of Man Utd showdown

We have received some great news on the injury front ahead of our game against bitter local rivals Man Utd on Monday night.

According to the Echo, both Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren took part in a full training session on Wednesday and should both be fit and ready for the clash.

Both players missed out on international duty with their respective countries this week after withdrawing from the two squads following our 2-1 win over Swansea City a fortnight ago.

Clyne reportedly dropped out due to a knee issue which had been giving him problems for a few weeks. Lovren was suffering from a slight groin issue and was withdrawn as a safety precaution.

Their two countries endured mixed fortunes in their absence. Croatia swept past Kosovo 6-0 then beat Finland 1-0, with the six points leaving them top of Group I.

England stuttered to a 2-0 win over minnows Malta then drew 0-0 with Slovenia in a dire encounter.
