Opposition fans were literally waiting for Jordan Henderson to make a mistake last night. They haven’t paid attention to his excellent for this season, or the fact he’s a well-rounded individual and captain of Liverpool and were outraged by the fact Gareth Southgate gave him the armband.
Instead of showing the new skipper support, he was ruthlessly mocked on social media throughout, but more-so after a failed attempt at a pass ended up at the feet of a Slovenian.

English fans wouldn’t be so quick to attack a player representing their club, and the reaction this has got is a sign that the fans are as much of a problem to the national team as the team itself.
Never mind. He’ll be back at Liverpool now and getting ready for our crunch clash with Manchester United. We’re sure he’ll silence a lot of those doubters.
