Liverpool star says time flies when you’re having fun

Saturday’s 2-1 win against West Brom marked 100 Liverpool appearances for midfielder Adam Lallana.

It is fair to say it’s taken the Reds man a while to find his feet since his move from Southampton, but he is finally living up to the fee of £25 million that was paid for his services.

Lallana has been the star man under Jurgen Klopp this season and, when fit, has become one of the first names on the starting eleven team-sheet.

He has been crucial in spearheading the high pressing and high intensity football that Klopp has looked to implement this season.

The deeper role he has been given in midfield has also seen him become an even greater attacking threat than when he has been playing in more advanced positions in the past.

Finally, he is providing the goals and assists that are adding substance to his undeniable technical ability with the ball.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, he said: “It’s flown – time flies when you’re having fun and doing what you really love,” he said.”

“I’m delighted to be playing in a team that’s doing well, that really works for each other, and now we just have to be consistent.”

Rewind to two years ago and nobody could have predicted just how important a player Adam Lallana would go on to become for this club.

Keep it up, Adam.
