Marko Grujic was excellent during pre-season, and in truth, we’re surprised we haven’t seen more of him this term in Jurgen Klopp’s first-XI.
He’s only young but is a full Serbian international with serious pedigree – and he’s been very good when selected in the EFL Cup so far…
But tonight, Klopp chose to start him on the bench against Leeds United, and many supporters were somewhat perplexed at the decision to give regulars Gini Wijnaldum and Emre Can another run-out together.
Still, hopefully we’ll take an early lead which will allow Grujic a chance to come on in the second-half.
Wanted Grujic to start #LFC

I didn’t expect Can to start tonight. I thought Grujic would get the nod. Same with Mane. I’m sure young Woodburn will get a good 20 mins.

I would’ve loved to see Grujic today, but all he has to do is be patient coz Klopp will surely give him his chance soon #LFC

Forgot Grujic existed until I heard him mentioned on a podcast. If he doesn’t start today, what did we buy him for? Barely seen him.

Surprised Grujic isn’t starting, but disappointed he isn’t tbh. #LFC

I like the look of our 11, but I would have liked to give Mane a rest, and play Woodburn instead. I hope Grujic gets minutes too!!

Grujic getting very little game time with us at the minute. Might be best to send him on loan in Jan, get some more experience.

No Grujic the only real surprise. Klopp going for the greater experience of Can in midfield #LFC
