Didi Hamann rates Mourinho over Klopp & thinks Man. United will win

Didi, have you lost the plot…?

The German midfielder, one of the best to play for Liverpool in the Premier League era, has given some remarkably unbiased comments ahead of our Old Trafford clash on Sunday afternoon…

Not only does Hamann think Jose Mourinho’s side will win, but he’d prefer to play for the Portuguese over his countryman and Liverpool favourite Jurgen Klopp!

“I think Manchester United have found a bit of form in recent weeks and seem to be a lot more settled and the camp is a lot more happy than they were at the start of the season,” he told Sky Sports.

“And in [Sadio] Mane, one of the most influential forward players will be missing for Liverpool.

“So I think United, who nullified Liverpool very well the first time they played at Anfield, may have the edge on Sunday.”

“I always like distance between a manager and a player. I don’t like it when managers get too close and too pally with the players. From that perspective, I think I’d rather play for Mourinho. I always wanted somebody who tells players and teams what he wants to do.

“Jurgen Klopp has got a different take and I think now things have changed.

“But I would have liked to have played for both,” Hamann added!

To be fair, it’s nice to see a pundit giving a properly interesting opinion, but we hope Liverpool prove him very wrong this weekend.

United are in a great run of form, but our performances against the Premier League’s best sides this season prove we can beat anyone on our day, and playing away almost helps us as it forces the opposition to play and leave us space.

Before United though we’ve an EFL Cup tie to play tomorrow evening against Southampton.

Hopefully, we can earn a strong first-leg result and almost more importantly, carry no new injuries into Sunday’s clash.
