Liverpool summer signing has another unfortunate injury

Marko Grujic hasn’t travelled with the Liverpool squad that’s facing Plymouth on Wednesday evening, because according to the Echo, he’s suffered a repercussion of the hamstring tendon injury which has now kept him out for months.

He was outstanding in pre-season and many thought he could be a starter this term, but he’s been restricted to just two starts and three appearances from the bench – much less than was hoped for.

Grujic’s last proper outing came in the EFL Cup against Spurs, but that was back at the end of October…

These FA Cup games against Plymouth could have been the perfect chance to ease him back in – but it’s not meant to be – and you’d have to wonder what further opportunities the 20-year-old will have – especially as we’re doing so well in the Premier League.
