Barcelona are considering replacing Luis Enrique at some point, but will not turn their attention to Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp.
The reason? Because they simply couldn’t coax him away from Liverpool.
That’s what Spanish football expert Guillem Balague is certain about, anyway.
“Barcelona have no interest in Klopp or Wenger,” Balague told Sky Sports. “As far as Klopp is concerned, it is not because he isn’t good – he quite clearly is – but rather because there is no way they could ever coax him away from Liverpool. Wenger, meanwhile does not figure in their plans.”
If only that was the case with Luis Suarez or Javier Mascherano before Klopp, hey?!
The quotes from Balague indicate once again what in truth, we know already: that Klopp is mighty happy at Liverpool and wants to see out his six year contract at the club.
He enjoys the city, the fans and is committed to our project – completely.
We’ve already passed 500 days with Klopp at the helm, and we hope once another 500 have passed, we might have some silverware in the cabinet – as that will be at the end of next season, a campaign when we’re hopefully also competing in the Champions League.
In order to do that, we need a fantastic end to this season. It’ll be a fight to the death, but Klopp can ensure it happens.
