The Guardian described his performance as ‘oozing class’ and described his 71 minutes as a ‘fine shift’ against the Socceroos – who never stood a chance after conceding a goal after just 12 seconds.
Coutinho dribbled with the ball relentlessly through midfield, and on more than one occasion turned the Aussie midfielders inside out.
His position most interested us as it’s one he’ll likely take up next year, with Liverpool expected to sign a winger that will enable Coutinho to move into a no.8 position.
