Liverpool fans have been quick to congratulate youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold on seeing his impressive 2016/2017 campaign rewarded with a new five-year deal.
The 18-year-old committed his future to the Reds on Friday, signing his second contract extension in eight months.
Supporters have hailed the club for tying down the teenager until 2022 with many expecting Alexander-Arnold to begin challenging for a first team spot as soon as next season.
A eye-opening rise through the youth setup earned him 12 first team appearances last season, including a start in Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Reds were understandably delighted to see one of the club’s brightest youth stars put pen to paper…

TAA is a future LFC captain. Should play him far more next season. Scouser in the team to boot. #LFC

Even if other transfers are not going well, nice to see #LFC locking up young talent like TAA. Nicely done Reds.

Brilliant to see Trent sign a long term contract with #LFC. A young Scouser with huge potential. Looking forward to a big season from him.
