LFC braced: Barca are about to go all out for Coutinho…

Barcelona are about to make an extremely high offer for Coutinho, having already had a £72m bid rejected out of hand, Sky Sports report.

The Catalans have irritatingly made our no.10 their priority target for the summer, after his compatriot Neymar consistently told Barcelona’s hierarchy of his Brazil team-mate’s brilliance.

Liverpool though have no intention of selling our best player and would reject an offer of double the £72m Barca have already thrown at us – which would smash the world record by £50m.

Coutinho’s been told by Liverpool he’s not leaving, just like Naby Keita has by Red Bull Leipzig, which is stopping our no.1 transfer target from joining this summer.

There is a feeling though that Coutinho will eventually end up at Barcelona, if Liverpool don’t start winning things – and winning things quickly.

Since he arrived in 2013, he’s not collected any silverware, which for a player of his calibre isn’t good enough. If Liverpool don’t bring home the bacon in 2017/18, we think next summer may be a difficult one in terms of keeping our world-class playmaker.
