Alexander-Arnold is the far more talented, but doubts about his defensive maturity mean Jurgen Klopp may use Flanagan, a safer option for the beginning of the Premier League season – arguably.
Either way, it’s fortunate that we’re so well stocked at right-back. If this was any other position, especially centre-back, we’d be in serious trouble with three absentees.
