Mourinho made Salah cry; refused to play LFC’s £35m ace afterwards

Jose Mourinho gave Mo Salah such limited opportunities at Chelsea because Liverpool’s new signing started crying in the dressing room after receiving a half-time rollicking.

That’s according to journalist Luke Moore, the host of long-standing podcast The Football Ramble.

Here’s what he had to say:

‘At the start of Salah’s Chelsea career under Mourinho, Mourinho wasn’t happy with a first-half performance of his and absolutely dug him out in the dressing room. Salah started crying – and that’s why Mourinho eventually moved him on. ‘I can’t have a player like that in the dressing room,’ he thought.’

Salah moved to Chelsea in January 2014 from FC Basel, but made just 13 Premier League appearances before he was shipped out to Italy.

In Serie A, he made his name for Fiorentina and Roma and has sparkled during pre-season for Liverpool since his £35m move.

Liverpool fans are delighted with his contribution so far, as is his new manager Jurgen Klopp – someone who understands player emotions…

There’s no shame in a 21-year-old kid who speaks little English getting upset by a public dressing down halfway through a match. Obviously Manchester United’s detestable Portuguese disagrees.

This season though, we can see Mo leaving Mou in a puddle of tears, both at Anfield and Old Trafford!
