Dejan Lovren faced heavy criticism on Saturday for his defending against Watford and tonight his early form left much to be desired  at Hoffenheim- failing to deal with a set-piece – predictably.

Our Croatian centre-back also gave away an early penalty when he fouled ex-Arsenal player Serge Gnabry – who’d nutmegged him.

Thankfully though, former Leicester striker Kramaric took a horrible spot-kick which Simon Mignolet saved. 

Our Belgian is an expert at keeping strikers out from 12-yards and proved it tonight, thankfully. 

Hopefully, we’ll look back at this as a decisive moment in the tie.
