Anfield was treated to another moment of magic from Sadio Mane in Sunday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.
The Senegalese forward built on his sparkling display in the midweek win over Hoffenheim by tormenting Arsene Wenger’s side in a dominant first half for the Reds.
Mane was at hand to double his side’s lead to 2-0, after Roberto Firmino had headed in the Reds’ opener inside the first twenty minutes.
Liverpool’s man in form reminded fans of just how deadly he is on the counterattack as he burst forward down the left-hand side before beating Rob Holding and cutting in on his right foot to fire past Petr Cech into the far corner.
It was a goal that typified everything good about not only Mane, but Liverpool as a team- explosive pace, attacking in numbers, interchanging, confidence.
It topped off an outstanding first 45 minutes for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
