We get it, Phil… You quite fancied a move to Barcelona this summer…
Last night, our no.10, who behind Neymar is his country’s best player, scored a wonderful goal that clinched El Selecao top spot in the South American World Cup Qualifying Group in Brazil’s 2-0 win over Ecuador.
In truth, Coutinho ran the show and reminded everyone exactly why Barca were willing to shell out £138m on his services.
After the superb effort, which highlighted his dribbling, passing and finishing, Coutinho burst into tears – clearly in an emotional state after becoming the centre of one of the world’s biggest transfer sagas.
We’ve got no problem with this, providing he now heads back to Liverpool, where he’s paid very handsomely, and puts in a similar effort for his employer. Let’s not pretend we don’t need him.
