Liverpool struck with more injury news; just as three players set for return

Adam Lallana, Coutinho and Dejan Lovren should be back in action after the international break, but someone who might not be ready is skipper Jordan Henderson.

According to Paul Joyce in the Times, Hendo is a ‘serious doubt’ for England’s friendlies against Germany and Brazil – although he’s yet to officially withdraw from the squad.

Somehow many LFC fans made last night about Jordan Henderson

Henderson, like Coutinho, has a thigh problem which kept him out of our 4-1 victory over West Ham at the weekend.

But while the Brazilian is expected to return to action for his country against England, his Liverpool team-mate looks unlikely to play in the same fixture.

Henderson gets injured regularly, but thankfully with Emre Can we have a player of similar ability capable of anchoring the side.

In fact, many Liverpool fans would prefer the German to start as our holder instead of the captain.

In two weeks’ time, with Coutinho and Lallana back, there may only be one other spot in the midfield trio.
