Liverpool-bound Naby Keita was on the score-sheet on Friday night thanks to a free-kick in RB Leipzig’s 2-0 win over Augsburg.
Granted, the Guinean has scored and will go on to score far better goals in his career.
It serves as another opportunity, however, to flaunt the talent the Reds are set to welcome to the club at the beginning of July.
The wait for his scheduled arrival feels somewhat longer after growing hopes of moving the deal forward to January were shattered by Leipzig’s refusal to let him leave early.
Keita’s latest strike comes as further evidence that he is far from the N’Golo Kante-type player so many have wrongly touted him as.
If anything, his performances have advertised him as a more attacking-inclined individual than one focused on offering defensive protection.
The 23-year-old’s deflected effort helped move Leipzig up to second place in the Bundesliga and marked his fourth league goal of the campaign.
Here’s a look at his latest long-range drive…

Leipzig manager Ralph Hasenhuttl recently directed minor criticism towards Keita for his dip in form since his standout 2016/2017 season. The midfielder is, however, half way towards the eight goals he mustered in 31 league appearances last term.
Concerns over his discipline arose during the first half of the season as Keita was sent off three times in 10 games for club and country.
He has since teased glimpses of the box-to-box talent that warranted his hefty price-tag and given Reds good reason to be excited by his arrival.
