Jordan Henderson is no longer England’s scapegoat – in fact – he’s arguably the most important player in the starting XI.
A stat was yesterday shared by Opta which shows how much better England are when Henderson is in the side.
He’s not lost a game with the Three Lions on his chest in 30 – the most of any Englishman – ever!
30 – Jordan Henderson has not ended on the losing side in any of his last 30 England matches (W23 D7), the longest unbeaten run of any England player in history. Fulcrum.#ENG #WorldCup pic.twitter.com/GH7QVEMgBh

Henderson was terrific last time out against Sweden and will be an automatic starter against Croatia, providing he’s fit.
The midfielder has a tight hamstring and according to Sky Sports, is a doubt, although medical staff hope to get him ready for the semi-final.
They also state that Henderson ran 2km further than any player on Saturday, which is a remarkable stat.
England’s hopes will be significantly weakened if he’s not available and we really hope he can play. Henderson deserves it and we want the country to continue seeing him at his best.
Hopefully he can maintain fitness and this level into the new campaign with Liverpool.
