Sky Sports journalist Jim White last night claimed we hadn’t agreed a fee with AS Roma for Alisson, despite the player reaching personal terms and flying to Liverpool for a medical.

What’s more, his source totally contradicts every other major journalist on the subject – with the likes of James Pearce and Paul Joyce confirming our £66m offer was accepted yesterday.
Source in Italy tells me fee not yet agreed between @ASRomaEN and @LFC for goalkeeper Alisson but player still set to have medical, subject to eventual contract agreement.

We think he’s completely wrong – as do many other Liverpool fans – who explained as much in not so polite terms!
Think you need to change your source mate. Slow sports news, hours behind proper Journos.

You expect us to believe u over di marzio, fabrizio, paul joyce, james pearce, Ben smith ( BBC) and melissa reddy?..

Jim, Whoever told you, your sources are wrong. A player can not undergo a medical, and be able to travel to Liverpool unless a fee has been agreed. Local club journalists have also confirmed the deal.
Go back to deadline day

Unlike White, we think the Alisson deal could actually be announced this evening.
Once he’s confirmed, Liverpool have around three weeks to secure the no.10 we need – even more so since it was announced that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would be out for the entirety of 2018/19.
We still think Nabil Fekir will be signed, despite insinuations from the media that Alisson would be our final arrival.
