LFC set to do another smart £12m deal

It looks like Simon Mignolet could follow Danny Ward out of Anfield as a £12m sale this summer.

The Welshman recently left permanently to join Leicester City – but Mignolet could now depart for a similar fee.

According to talkSPORT, Turkish giants Besiktas are interested in our Belgian stopper, who is now surplus to requirements following the arrival of Alisson from Roma.

They’ve just sold their no.1 Fabri to Fulham and are keen on bringing in our 30-year-old, who’s been with us since 2013, to replace him.

Mignolet has been a good servant to Liverpool, but in truth, has never had the full support of the fans following inconsistent form.

In fact, he’s done well to remain at the club for five seasons and it’s definitely time for him to move on, especially considering there’s practically zero chance of him regaining the spot between our sticks as a first-choice option.

Similarly, Loris Karius will need to depart if he wants first-team football, but the German’s value is at its lowest right now and we can’t imagine there’ll be too many suitors.

In reality, Liverpool need to sell Mignolet, loan Karius and bring in an experienced backup option for Alisson.
