Summer signing ‘trying too hard’ after taking time to adjust at Liverpool

An interesting report in the Echo details how the team is shaping up ahead of the new season and how our summer signings are settling.

While there’s understandably plenty of excitement about Liverpool after looking to have strengthened well to build on last season’s success, it seems some are taking time to adjust to life under Jurgen Klopp.

As noted by the Echo, Fabinho has been described as trying too hard to impress after taking time to adjust to his new side.

The Brazilian was immense in Ligue 1 with Monaco, but the pace of the game in the Premier League will undoubtedly be much faster for him, especially with how we’re set up to play under Klopp.

Still, there needn’t be any cause for alarm just now – that’s what pre-season is all about, after all.

Hopefully Fabinho has done enough to show he’s ready to start in midfield as we kick off our Premier League campaign, with the Echo also reporting that Jordan Henderson is unlikely to be set to start just now after his late return after World Cup duty.
