Our project to turn Rangers into our feeder club by letting them give Steven Gerrard top-level managerial experience and to train up some of our players seems to be going well.
Not an official project, of course, but you all know what I mean…
The latest is that young loan duo Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria have really impressed Stevie G with their energy levels in Rangers’ latest result, a 1-1 draw in the Europa League against Osijek.
It remains to be seen whether these two realistically have a future with us given the ever-increasing quality and depth of our squad under Jurgen Klopp, but it’s always useful to have talented youngsters out there gaining experience.
Gerrard: ”Big European nights in front of 50,000 are new for them which is why it’s no surprise they grow into the game as it progressed.”

Gerrard is clearly pleased with them and their impact for his side in their European outing, as Anfield HQ tweet quoting him as saying he was ‘delighted’ with their contributions.
Here’s hoping it’s all part of a long-term journey that sees them come back to us ready to make the first-team – perhaps, one day, with Gerrard in the LFC dugout!
