Ryan Kent suggests Liverpool are to blame for his slow start at Rangers

Rangers winger Ryan Kent believes that the training schedule he was on at Liverpool didn’t set him up well to return to the field.

Basically, he hasn’t hit the ground running at his new club and has decided to put the blame on his former employers – the current Champions League title holders.

It didn’t cause any problems when he was on loan though, eh? Anyway – he now thinks he’s prepared to contribute for the ‘Gers.

The training programme I had prior to coming here didn’t really stand me in good stead for coming back playing again,he told Rangers TV.

But with the physio and fitness coaches I have now, I feel like I’ve got myself back up to a good level of fitness and the right fitness for game time.

It’s always easy to blame someone else, when things aren’t going your way, and it’s disappointing to hear a former Liverpool player having a pop at the Reds.

But I wish Kent nothing but all the best – he spent a large portion of his youth career with Liverpool, but it didn’t work out for him at Anfield.

Keep your head down, Ryan, and get look forward instead of back!
