(Video) Jordan Henderson played one glorious long-pass last night that few noticed

It was great to see Jordan Henderson back in the team last night.

Liverpool’s captain had been allowed an extended break following his World Cup exploits, but came off the bench and looked good in our 3-1 victory over Torino.

One particular pass he played was outstanding, and you can watch it, courtesy of LFCTV, via this link.

Xherdan Shaqiri got the credit for the manner in which he controlled the ball and then floated a cross onto Daniel Sturridge’s head for the goal, but it was Hendo who started the move with a sublime offensive pass – the kind he’s more than capable of playing on a regular basis.

We don’t think he’ll start on Sunday against West Ham, with new signing Fabinho set to start in the no.6 role due to the skipper only just returning from holiday.

Fans on AI:Pro thought Fabinho was sublime, and you can hear their chat on the Brazilian by signing up here, but we actually think he’s behind Hendo in the pecking order right now.

We think the former Monaco man will anchor the side at the weekend, with Naby Keita and Gini Wijnaldum either side – although Xherdan Shaqiri provides an ultra-exciting attacking option off the bench.
