In fact, the French reporter thinks Fabinho is the ‘signing of the summer’ and has labelled the Brazilian one of the most intelligent players in Europe.
Laurens was talking on the Totally Football podcast and claimed he is ‘much better than Jordan Henderson and will bring ‘so much football intelligence’ to the position.
‘For me, he’s the best signing Liverpool have made, More important than Alisson, more important than Naby Keita,’ he continued.

For the untrained eye, Fabinho has arguably been the least spectacular of the summer arrivals.
But as a defensive midfielder, what were we really expecting? The 24-year-old is physical, technically astute and positionally outstanding.
We actually think Keita will prove to be the superstar, but are delighted with the acquisition of the former Monaco man.
Let’s hope he proves Laurens right.
