Bobby Duncan had a hand in every goal to help Liverpool’s U18s towards an enthralling 6-5 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The striker scored four times to take his tally to 16 across all competitions and continue his stunning debut season with the Reds.
He also turned provider for Elijah Dixon-Bonner and Paul Glatzel, with the latter snatching the winner in the final minute of the game.
Another win means Liverpool are now just one point behind U18 Premier League leaders Everton ahead of a December schedule consisting purely of cup matches.

Duncan broke the deadlock after just three minutes, before Boro produced a swift turnaround to make it 2-1 shortly after.
The former Manchester City man soon set up Dixon-Bonner for the equaliser and then put the Reds back ahead himself before the half hour mark. A goal either side of the interval for the hosts saw Liverpool trail again until Duncan responded once more to complete his hat-trick.
Boro’s Isaac Fletcher scored his second to make it 5-4 in the 65th minute, only for Duncan to notch a reply with his fourth of the game.
His persistence was rewarded late on when he set up strike partner Glatzel for a dramatic winner and his 13th goal of the campaign.
Duncan’s bright impression for Barry Lewtas’ side is already seeing him knock not the door of Neil Critchley’s U23s, not to mention attract attention from Germany.
Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are supposedly eyeing the teenager as they fight to uncover the next English youth success story following the impact of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson at Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim, respectively.
According to the Times, Liverpool are preparing a new contract offer for the 17-year-old as a means of fending off interest from abroad.
