Marko Grujic scored the winning goal for Hertha Berlin yesterday as he headed home from a corner to score the only goal of the game against Eintracht Frankfurt – and he was given the ultimate praise after the match.
Via German site Berliner Kurier, Hertha manager Pál Dárdai said: “Marko is the best midfielder we have had in the last 20 years. The club is doing everything to make it last longer.”
The German Bundesliga side are aiming to finish in the Europa League places after a start to the season that sees them currently occupy sixth place.
Grujic is clearly having a good time in Germany so far – hopefully, he can maintain that form until the end of the season and then come back and make an impact on Merseyside.
He remains highly rated by the club and is likely to be given a chance to show what he can do during next summer’s pre-season.
