Fabinho is gearing up for his first taste of a Liverpool against Manchester United fixture – and says he knows how big the rivalry is.
Via LiverpoolFC.com, he said: “I’m definitely looking forward to it. When you sign for Liverpool, you have these types of games in mind.
“I’m not really an expert on the history of this rivalry, but I believe it is the biggest rivalry in English football.
“I think the geographical closeness, with Manchester being just down the road, adds even more to it.
“With the passion of the fans, their support, we go on the field to give our best to put on a show for them.”
Whether Fabinho is chosen to start or not, with Jordan Henderson also an option in the number six role, the Reds simply must get the job done.
Three points would take the Reds back to the top of the Premier League – nothing less would be a good result.
