Josh Kimmich, one of the world’s best right-backs, has claimed Bayern Munich are big underdogs for the game with Liverpool tomorrow.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds host Niko Kovac’s German outfit at Anfield, knowing a good result will put us in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League quarterfinals.
Kimmich reckons our defensive record and our consistency is incredible, while also lavishing praise on our manager.
“Liverpool are the favourites. They have lost one league game all season and have let in only 15 goals. But when you look at us, we are not as consistent as before,” he told the Telegraph.
“He [Klopp] can coach every team, including our national team. Everybody likes him. He is just really…Authentic,” he concluded.
We probably are favourites, but Bayern are a more dangerous side and in better form than when we drew them back in December…
They’ve won their past three games and have a number of world-class players all over the pitch.
David Alaba is sensational, Manuel Neuer one of the greatest keepers of his generation, Robert Lewandowski clinical and Thiago a beautiful, composed midfielder…
Liverpool’s best bet is to come out of the blocks firing and get the crowd involved from minute one.
