Naby Keita is finally finding his Anfield feet.
It took him longer than expected, and longer than we would have liked it to – but his monumental talent is slowly beginning to come out.

At Rb Leipzig, he was known for his exceptional dribbling skills and ability to pick up the ball from deep and make things happen by going past midfielders. But at Liverpool, we’ve hardly seen that until recently.
This stat, shared on Twitter by Alex Mansfield, proves as much. Keita has gone past people 12 times in his past four matches, as many as his first 14 appearances.
Naby Keita has completed as many take-ons in his past four appearances (12) as he did in his first 14 appearances with the club.

The question is whether Keita will keep his spot in the side for the Manchester United clash on Sunday, or whether Jurgen Klopp will field Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum together instead.
It’s not an easy decision, considering Keita has started five games on the trot and done well. However, Hendo was exceptional v Bayern Munich, and alongside Fabinho, provides us a defensive midfield pairing that could not only stifle United but dominate possession.
