Naby Keita was excellent in the first-half tonight of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Bayern.
The Guinean was a little more quiet in the second, but did enough good things to keep his spot in the team away to Manchester United in the Premier League at the weekend.
One especially impressive moment came in the 43rd minute, when Keita produced a mesmerising piece of skill to waltz through two Bayern players.
He actually gave the ball away in the end, which in many ways, sums up his Liverpool career. We’ve seen flashes of brilliance, but nothing consistently in the final third to warrant his talent.
David Lynch of the Standard tweeted exactly that following a similar moment, too.
We fully agree with the journalist that he’ll come good – and very good at that.
When Naby Keita finds that final ball in an #LFC shirt, he's going to be unstoppable. Continually does two great things followed by one poor one, but you suspect that won't last.
