FA Ban will come in to effect for Liverpool v Spurs

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will have to watch his side’s match against Liverpool from the stands, it has been confirmed.

Sky Sports reported this morning that the Argentine will miss his team’s next two games after his altercation with Mike Dean at the end of Spurs’ defeat to Burnley.

Following the final whistle, Poch and his assistants berated Dean, who had made a snide comment as he was leaving the pitch.

“The Tottenham Hotspur manager accepted an improper conduct charge from The FA, which resulted from his language and/or behaviour – both on the pitch and in or around the tunnel area – at the end of the game against Burnley on 23 February,” a statement from the club read.

Now we’re one point behind Manchester City, nothing less than five wins from our remaining five home games will do.

We’ve got Burnley, Spurs, Chelsea, Huddersfield and Wolves at Anfield – while we travel to Fulham, Southampton, Cardiff and Newcastle.

When you consider the number of points on offer, there’s a long way to go and there’ll undoubtedly be a number of twists and turns before it’s over.

As fans, our job is to simply give everything we can to the team who’ve performed valiantly – and hope it’s enough!
