Where Liverpool’s young South Americans are likely to end up…

Liverpool have two South Americans who may never play for our first-team.

The first is Anderson Arroyo, a Colombian left-back who spent last season on loan at Gent in Belgium without making a single appearance!

That suggests he isn’t yet ready to be Andy Robertson’s left-back understudy – so we may have to enter the transfer market to fill that slot…

The second is Allan Rodrigues de Souza, a Brazilian midfielder with plenty of panache but little physicality – who’s spent many loans away from Anfield over the past few years in order to get a work-permit to play in England.

According to Neil Jones in Goal, Arroyo is likely to end up at Bochum in Bundesliga II. We just hope the Germans give him a fair crack of the whip!

Allan has very little chances of developing into a Liverpool first-teamer in our opinion, and Jones reckons he’ll stay at Fluminense.

Elsewhere, Jones says Kamil Grabara, Ovie Ejaria and Ben Woodburn will leave on loan as well – which seems smart.

Hopefully they’ll head to clubs which make them starters – but it’ll take something special next year for any of them to convince the boss they’re Liverpool calibre.
