Rhian Brewster has enjoyed a practically perfect pre-season so far.
The teenager played 45 minutes against Tranmere and notched a brace, adding another v Bradford on Sunday.
And while enjoying Brewster’s performance at the weekend, we noticed the manner in which he won back possession in Bradford’s final-third.
In fact, on two occasions, it was Roberto Firmino-esque: feisty, ankle-snapping and smart closing down – leading to a counter-attacking opportunity.
You can see in the video below Brewster’s counter-pressing was on-song, as was his flicks and touches in and around the opposition box.
We’re utterly convinced we’ve got a serious player on our hands, actually.
