The new cover star for PES 2020 is the funniest thing you’ll see this year

Manchester United and Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay has been named as one of the cover stars for PES 2020, the popular video game.

Yes, really.

Appearing alongside Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic and Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry, McTominay looks completely out of place.

The box-to-box player is a decent enough player, but it says a lot about where Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s side are at right now that he’s set to play a crucial role this upcoming season. Even so, he’s a bizarre choice for putting on the cover.

Manchester United, of course, have a lot of marketing pull so that explains why PES were so desperate to get one of their players on the front – but they could have chosen someone a bit better than him!
