(Video) When LFC new-boy Adrian broke Evertonian hearts in FA Cup penalty shootout

Liverpool are set to sign former West Ham goalkeeper Adrian after it was confirmed that the experienced Simon Mignolet is to leave the club.

The Spanish goalkeeper has been around for some time – the 32-year-old spent six years with the Hammers before his contract ran out this summer.

One of his most notable moments in a West Ham shirt came in the third round of the 2014/15 FA Cup when he eliminated Everton.

It came down to a penalty shootout after a 1-1 stalemate, and it was sudden death – Joel Robles smashed his effort off the crossbar before Adrian burried his to make it 9-8.
