The bold offer Bayern have made Barca for Coutinho

Bayern Munich are looking to end Coutnho’s Barcelona transfer nightmare, but are not willing to spend serious money in order to do it.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Bayern want the 27-year-old on loan for two seasons, with only an option but no obligation to buy in 2021.

This is the same deal they did for James Rodriguez in 2017, only to decide against the Colombian this summer and allow him back to parent club Real Madrid.

Coutinho, however, doesn’t fancy a switch to Germany – in the same manner he rejected a loan move to Spurs on deadline day – according to Sky Sports.

In January 2018, when Liverpool sold the Brazilian for such an outrageous fee, he could have walked into any side on the planet – but 19 months or so later – he’s in danger of becoming somebody his club do not want, and somebody nobody else can afford.

We know for a fact Phil would have jumped at the chance to rejoin Liverpool, but the Reds felt the finances to bring him back to Anfield would have been far too extortionate, especially considering the manner in which he left us and how he’s flopped in La Liga since the transfer.
