Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has backed Liverpool to continue their winning streak against Burnley, but has warned that they will sense vulnerabilities.
The Reds top the league with maximum points from their first three games and victory at Turf Moor would be their 13th in succession in the Premier League.
That would signify their longest-ever run of triumphs in league competition.
While Nicholas has tipped us to win 3-1, he reckons Clarets frontman Ashley Barnes, who has scored four goals already this season, will be confident of beating Reds no. 2 Adrian.
“Liverpool were very good going forward but I did see problems at the back against Arsenal,” the former Celtic noted.
“I don’t think Adrian is reliable. We saw mistakes at West Ham and we have recently too.
“Ashley Barnes is in form at the moment and Sean Dyche may play Chris Wood for his height.”
The Scot also explained how Sean Dyche’s side can stop the visitors, but that of course is far easier said than done.
Ultimately, he backed our ‘fresh’ frontline to inflict the damage.
“They will squeeze Liverpool and drop off when they have it at the back, squeezing the midfield too,” he said.
“They need to stop the full-backs and the service to the front men.
“If it is rolled out from Liverpool they could even squeeze from the front.
“Liverpool will take risks and were exposed sometimes against Arsenal.
“The front three will be nice and fresh, with Mohamed Salah coming into this off the back of a brace, so I expect a Liverpool win.”
Will Burnley fancy their chances against Adrian? Well, he may have conceded on all three of his league outings, but he’s proven himself an impressive shot-stopper in those games.
Liverpool’s collective defensive display against Arsenal was their best of the season so far, and there’s reason to be confident that they’ll build on that with a first clean sheet this weekend.
