Liverpool just about managed to secure the three points against Sheffield United in the Premier League this afternoon thanks to a fortunate volleyed effort from Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.

The Reds were under pressure for much of the match thanks to their own missed chances. Sadio Mane could have easily secured a brace or even a hat-trick, while Mo Salah was given no time on the ball whatsoever and had an off day.
One man, though, stood out above all the rest when it comes to the best player on the pitch according to many supporters.

Along with Virgil van Dijk, the pair did brilliantly well this afternoon. It was a welcome clean sheet and a 16th consecutive Premier League win for the Reds.
