Manchester United could be without winger Daniel James for the Premier League clash against the Reds next weekend after he appeared to be knocked out during Wales’ game against Croatia last night.

Reds men Dejan Lovren and Harry Wilson both featured in the match which finished 1-1 in Cardiff.

One of the main incidents in the match was James, who is United’s top scorer so far this season with three goals, appearing to be knocked out after challenging for the ball in the air.

After the game, James insisted that he was ‘fine’ but there are strict regulations surrounding head injuries and he will need to be fully assessed.

The winger will be desperate to feature against the Reds but that decision could be taken out of his hands depending on what the medical professionals behind the scenes make of the situation.

After Paul Pogba’s injury, it could be yet more bad news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
