Rhian Brewster is perhaps not featuring as much for Liverpool as he’d like to right now, but he’s getting regular minutes for England U21s.
Last international break, the 19-year-old got an assist for Phil Foden, and yesterday he got another – setting up Eddie Nketiah for the final goal in a 5-1 demolition of Austria.
Brewster will next appear for Liverpool against Arsenal at the end of the month in the EFL Cup, but we can’t see Jurgen Klopp throwing him into the starting XI v Manchester United or Spurs in the Premier League.
Hopefully he’ll do well and make the bench in either the top flight or the Champions League – as so far – Brewster’s supposed breakthrough season has yet to spark.
Still, he’s young, had plenty of time and if he proves to be good enough, will stay here for some time.
