Jamie O’Hara makes ludicrous claim that Scott McTominay would get into the Reds’ team

Ex-Premier League midfielder Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay is a better footballer than the Reds’ Champions League-winning captain Jordan Henderson, and would get into Jurgen Klopp’s team.

He made the claim about ‘future Man United captain’ McTominay while speaking on TalkSport yesterday, completing ignoring the fact that Henderson has been very good for the Reds over the last couple of seasons, especially since Fabinho has come into the side and allowed him to play further up the pitch.

O’Hara was also disregarding the fact that the Reds have the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in reserve, who are also better players than McTominay.

It says a lot about where Manchester United are at right now that McTominay is seen as being such a great hope.

He is a decent enough player and will go on to have a decent enough career, but the desperation from some for him to be a world-class hero that can drag the club back to where they once were is simply staggering.

McTominay would not get near the Reds’ first XI and at this moment in time, he probably wouldn’t even make the bench.
