Loris Karius could be in line to make his Liverpool debut against bitter local rivals Manchester United at Anfield.

The first North-West derby of the new season – which is one of the most famous matches in world football – will be played at our recently expanded stadium on Saturday 15th October.

It will be the eighth league game of the campaign.

Media reports are suggesting that Karius will be out for 8 to 10 weeks after breaking his hand against Chelsea on Wednesday. (via Echo)

The United game is 11 weeks away, but given Klopp might not throw him straight into the team after recovering, that return date looks like a strong possibility.

If he did return for that game, he would have missed the matches against Arsenal, Burnley, Spurs, Leicester City, Chelsea, Hull, and Swansea.

Sadly, there will not be a League Cup game around that time to ease him back. The third-round is played on 19th September, with the fourth-round on 24th October.
