It’s official, Reds: Alberto Moreno’s topknot is gone!
The Spanish left-back has finally got rid of the questionable hairdo which saw him ridiculed at the start of the season…
Sadly, he’s replaced it with the bleach-blonde all-over – an odd favourite of every footballer nowadays.
Roberto Firmino also backs the ponytail, but the Brazilian gets away with it because he’s displayed consistent brilliance on the field – while Moreno toiled early on this campaign before James Milner took his place.
With the Englishman performing so well at left-back, it doesn’t look like Moreno has an obvious path back into the side; unless Milner picks up an injury or Jurgen Klopp decides to rest the experienced pro.
Moreno took a lot of abuse a few weeks back; some merited, some not – but it’s crucial supporters get behind him next time he steps onto the pitch. A united fanbase is essential if we’re to achieve our goals this term.
