Sometimes Liverpool’s owner John W Henry nails Twitter!
(You’ll remember his infamous ‘What are they smoking at the Emirates?’ put down, for starters…)
This evening, talkSPORT journalist Ian Abrahams, also known as ‘The Moose’, claimed insider knowledge in regards to a takeover bid for Liverpool being finalised by the end of the this week.
No other proper sources had reported this rumour so we paid it no attention, but it reached FSG and Henry dealt with the claim swiftly – making a complete fool of Abrahams in the process!
@BroadcastMoose @LFC Good that your sources will be debunked so soon. Usually it takes a long time!

Abrahams tried to play it off like he hadn’t just been destroyed by Henry, but his meagre apology doesn’t really make up for his originally falsified claim.
@John_W_Henry well thank you for so swiftly clearing that, only reporting what I had heard – look forward to meeting you at Anfield 1 day

There’s always been rumours that FSG want to sell, but nothing substantial. They just finished rebuilding the Main Stand and gave Jurgen Klopp and his backroom staff whopping six-year deals in the summer, which indicates to us they’re here for the foreseeable.
