FA CUP AFTERMATH

No Rafa out. Don’t forget what he did in 2005 and what he almost did last season. Fact is, we have been screwed big time, every promise or statment is either rubbish to put smiles on our faces or Ass covering.

I want Gilette and Hicks out, I don’t care about money, I just want an owner who cares and will do everything possible to try and give Rafa what he needs. There ownership has been a complete joke, they dodn’t even like each other. How can a team be relaxed and get on with the on field job, if we have those Rodney’s (plonkers) running the show.

ALSO FOR GODS SAKE IF YOU ARE AT A GAME, ESPECIALLY AT HOME, STAND UP AND SHOUT YOUR LUNGS OFF FOR 90MINS. I WILL BE AND DON’T WANT TO LOOK STUPID!!!!!!!

  1. The manager has to shoulder a lot of the blame, you can’t blame everything that is happening on the pitch on everything going on in the boardroom.

  2. starting 11

    Cavalieri – cant blame him
insua – got raped all game
agger – got raped all game
carragher – not as good as he was
degan – good going foward cant put a tackle in for the life of him
benayoun – had good 2nd half but jus lacking the quality he had
lucas – never goes foward is fucking shit wouldnt get in that reading team !
    aquilani – flop
kuyt – i hate him worst player ever
gerrard – lazy bastard done abit of running at the end of the half and pulled a muscle
    torres – tries to much

ngog – can only score when he has a minute of time match was to tight for him
skrtel – cant critise him he done nothin
babel – haha should sold him birmingham for 8 mill like :P

take gerrard and torres out of that team we have scored 23 goals between team benayoun on 6 but dont forget to add all the games they have played and divide it its like 1 goal every 10 games :)

  3. Awful. Just awful. I do agree the owners must go but 2005 was a long time ago. I really feel for Rafa he has had a rough time but the time has come for a change. The team has run out of ideas.

  4. I’m sure we all want the owners out. but the fact of the matter is they own 50-50 share in the club. that won’t change, therefore the owners won’t change unless we get a take over bid.
Furthermore, all promises have been broken indeed and i’m sure many other fans think Rafa must go, but a new signing? i don’t think he is going anyway just yet.

  5. Now I’m a pool fan and i don’t like our owners either, but isn’t it about time (this season) Rafa was challenged on his performances. He hasn’t done a good job, simple. He isn’t motivating the players to win and as manager that is his job – end of, surely?

I don’t necessarily want him fired but he needs to do something and fast.

A very disappointed Reds fan – yet again this season

  6. James,

I hear you loud and clear. BUT,the defense is atrocious. We can’t put it in the net and the players just aren’t playing.

Disregard the fact that the players are professionals and should be able to motivate themselves. It’s the manager’s job to make good decisions and to help keep the players motivated.

It’s quite apparent that the players aren’t reactiving in positive manners to Rafa.

I don’t want these owners around either but I’m afraid we made need an overhaul all the way around.

2005 was 2005 and its unfortunately looking like it won’t repeat itself in 2010.

I’m trying to keep the faith.

  7. The team that is out there should be more than capable of beating many of the teams we have lost too this season. This is down to tactics and team selection. Yes what happens board level may affect the players, but surely not to this extent. Something needs to change. I can accept us not making the top 4 this season, as it is now a possibility. However we need to realize this and start correcting it so it’s sorted out for next season, NOW!

  8. as far as im concerned its nothing to do with money its to do with tactics, strategy and team selection and that comes down to rafa. There are too many players that arent good enough to play for liverpool like lucas and insua yet he plays them every game. Our squad is good enough as proved last season. The manager isnt, thats my opinion and im not alone in thinking that.

  9. Something has to give and it has to happen real soon before this great club is ruined. It breaks my heart to see us in this state and its mainly due to politics and money. I truely believe the blame must be shared by the owners, by Raffa, and some of the players. We all know that players were signed that are just not good enough and players were sold that should not have been, money promised was not given, and all this combined is killing our beloved club (in my opinion).Something has to change now, Please.

  10. I understand why you would want to protect Rafa… I appreciate his eforts and trophies so far, but this isn’t the Liverpool way. We have played attacking passing football for years but the last 2 Managers have changed that style and I can’t bare it anymore!!!
We need a new Manager and new owners… The players have lost faith.

As for “ALSO FOR GODS SAKE IF YOU ARE AT A GAME, ESPECIALLY AT HOME, STAND UP AND SHOUT YOUR LUNGS OFF FOR 90MINS. I WILL BE AND DON’T WANT TO LOOK STUPID!!!!!!!”

    I agree!

  11. I went back and looked at the ET goal. It was basically the story we have had on set pieces all year. First Insua got megged. Looked like a school girl. No sorry that would insult school girls. Next the cross found 2 Reading players in the 6 with Carragher on the wrong side. While the offense has let us down all season it is the horrendous defense that has put a nail in our coffin. Top it all off we have Torres and Steve G both hurt.

Worst of all was the apparent silence in Anfield. What happened? All I heard on TV was Reading fans. We have to be the 12th man to win. They should fear coming to Anfield. Instead our team is tiptoeing around afraid of playing at home.

Time for everyone to buck up: Rafa, players and fans. We have to win. We have to find pride. We have to set attainable goals. Only 2 left: Europa League and top 4.

Let’s stop pointing fingers and get behind our team. If not we may face a collapse that last for years.

  12. The yanks are only in it for the money, not for the love of the game or the love of a great great club. I agree that they must take some of the blame, but it has to be shared around. I have it from inside the dressing room that a lot of the players are not 100% behind Rafa. One of our better players will be looking for a move at the end of the season. Fact.

  13. come on lets be honest…

    We are not good enough!!!

    Whos to blame?

Christian Purslow made an announcement about the boards intentions today. If you haven’t already read it read this

    http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2010/01/13/we-ll-bring-investment-into-anfield-and-won-t-sell-torres-or-gerrard-100252-25587765/

This team is just not cutting it and its not because the board don’t want us to be a success or that they’re not prepared to fund it.

Theres something seriously wrong with us at the moment and the problems lies somewhere between the manager and the team.

We’ve got a perfectly good squad – we’ve lost Alonso but gained Aquilani, Glen Johnson and quite a few of our players have stepped up to the mark.

    Why are we still losing?

It’s really easy to keep blaming the owners

simple fact is as a team we don’t have the spirit to win especially when it comes to finishing other teams off

2-1 to reading is dire but if this seasons anything to go by its only going to be more of the same

Loyalty is one thing but how low do we have to sink before we accept whats really going on.

Rafas had a good run but in my opinion and only after many chances-

    he has got to go!

    time to be honest??

  14. I agreed with James, only the worst ever I see is Lucas! You actually right, he is really fucking shit!, all time I saw him go for Starting XI, I already knew and said, OH MY FUCKING GOD Lucas playing, I was sure that will have big time screwed up on grass, he actually need this GLASSES! for him to see the men in front! all I see him have the ball, uh! he lose his ball again, or play like damn Joker!… I see Kuyt is big different, he is really like Iron Man, wait a min, when his last time he got injury? and he worked so hard than Lucas! I always pray to see Lucas GONE! I know this man Lucas is the weakness link for Starting XI. anyway Today is old news now, I going pray for Stoke that Lucas arent Starting XI!, Put Maxi The Beast instead him Lucas

    Iron,
    YNWA

  15. I have NEVER seen such a poor Liverpool side. Something HAS to change! Some of the players should be ashamed of themselves, this is embarrasing for a club with a great history and great supporters – it should be an honour for them to put on the red shirt and they should wear it with pride, sadly this isnt happening. I cant wait for the season to end!!

IM SORRY TO SAY RAFA MUST GO NOW I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMPORE!!

  16. A total disgrace – no creativity, no passion and no clue. Last night was an embarrassment and to be honest Reading deserved the win.

The club (LFC) as a whole is a joke – God help us against Stoke this weekend

  17. Rafa should stay for now….like it or not,we have to stick and trust him…but he has to change the way Liverpool play…we have to play with 2 striker…Gerrard is not the same as he use to be…so,let him play in Lucas place…Lucas is the worse player at the moment….It will be good for us if he is rested FOREVER!!!!!
