  1. It’s simply quite extraordinary that JH seeked a commitment from the youth setup to produce 4 top players. And here we have RH not even wanting to put any of them on the bench. DC says that we should not buy quick fix players and here we have PK replacing Insua (a young one learning his trade) and CP replacing Masch (young, brilliant but seemingly ungrateful). I know he was not around when the deals were done. We have Jova who gives his all but has not had a chance to set foot on the pitch. Ince and Darby both loaned out. Pancheco. How we want to see Pancheco get a chance to have a go at the opposition with a fearless heart. Ecclestone. Raheem. Valle. Spearing. Kelly. What are we waiting for? Remember one Owen? How old was he? Seriously! DC and RH have short meeting 3 times a day? And this point didn’t come up? We don’t have 6 years dudes. We’re sick of the rebuilding excuse. We have had basically the same team less the great Sami, the master Alonso, the terror Masch. everyone else is there. How hard can it be to fit some of these young ones into the set up. Most are already junior international players already. How bad can they be that we have to buy PK and CP? Can’t find a striker then just push Stevie up or yes play Pancheco. Why keep on complaining about it? Live with it RH. You’re suppose to have the guile and tactical ability to use the team to the best of it’s abilities. Then do it. You make them play to the best of their abilities not yours. You’re not playing. Torres is not long ball target man. Can’t you see that? Reina has started more goal scoring moves palying the way he has not just hoofing it up into the other penalty box. You don’t see the reason why the lost at Stoke should give anyone the reason for more doubt on what you’re doing? A 55 game manager? It not that we lost to Stoke. It was more HOW we lost to Stoke. How we played the game before that and the 2nd half at Chelsea. We didn’t play at all. let alone the Liverpool way. You don’t get it do you?

  2. That’s the whole point….. Roy Hodgson doesn’t get it!! And the worse thing is he doesn’t get why LFC fans are so upset?!!! Now after reading John Henry’s latest statement about not blaming RH for our problems at the moment….. I worry that JH’s not getting it either. Aren’t we tired of saying the same things on and on again?! We fans can see where the problem is but our message isn’t getting across.

RH is not keeping to his word. First he says judge me after 10 matches, now it’s 55 matches. Bottom line is there’s nothing we fans can do (aside from letting out our frustrations on this site….)The only person who can do anything is JH and NESV. The longer this goes on, I think Anfield will be half full.

  3. I have to agree with both comments, I personally would not waste my time or money watching Roys negative, small club tactics. I’ve had enough and will be taking the misses out shopping and then for dinner on saturday. Can’t take the torture of watching a vastly inferior team dominate us for long periods. Bottom line mr Henry is the manager sets the tactics and the style and although this has worked for Roy in the past with small clubs we are not a small club, we are liverpool fc.

  4. I think he needs to adjust his tactics and realise that you can’t play 4 central midfielders against teams with pace on the wings and big, powerful strikers up front. It just doesn’t work. That being said I think he needs to be given a full season.

Most of those young players are simply not up to scratch, although I am disappointed at the lack of time given for Pacheco, and especially bothered by the idea that he needs to convert into a wide player (to which he is not particularly well suited) in order to make the squad.

  5. criticizing Hodgson makes sense but i think Christian Poulsen is being given more stick then he deserves, the guy is an established player and should surely be given time before we make a final opinion about him…
so as for his ambition to fight and prove himself.. i would or rather should say… YNWA
    (i am not a poulsen fan by any means, whats right is right and this is how LFC fans treat their new arrivals;
    1- Soto.
    2- Luis Garcia.
    3- Xabi Alonso
and many more took their time to establish themselves.)

  6. Come on Roy give some of the young guys a run, especially Pacheco – seriously what’s the worst that can happen? What’s for sure is that we can’t be any worse than we are at the minute.

Get Glen on the right wing, Ryan on the left and Stevie and Raul in the middle. Play Dirk / Pacheco upfront with FT and a solid back four of Kelly, JG, MK and PK, with the added insurance of one PR in goal. Now to me that sounds like a group of players that might just be able to beat West Ham and a good few other teams. Roy- just ask your players to play football and simply WIN, WIN and WIN again – YNWA

  7. Sorry minnie but it’s not roys philosophy to send his team out to play football but to go out and stop the other team from playing. Years of managing small clubs I’m afraid, too worried about what the opposition is doing instead of making them worry about us.

  8. Getting out muscled at places like Everton and Stoke isnt acceptable . There are more muck n nettles games in the prem than glamour games and you had better be up for them cz you can bet the opposition will be

  9. Take your rose coloured glasses off and see the truth folks. Liverpool IS and HAS BEEN no more than a mid table club ever since Rafa was determined, and was allowed, to do EVERYTHING his way all those months ago. What is happening now is all a direct result of THAT

  10. I don’t think by giving the kids ago will solve our problems,we really do need to look at our current team and hope they will come good in the end, there is no substitute for experience.I know we’ve been playing badly but we have to stop all this bickering and get behind the team,it looks like JWH is backing Hodgson at the moment so it look’s like he’s here for a while. So what to do now,i’ll tell you what lets get behind the team and try and install some confidence in them, that is all we are lacking.KEEP THE FAITH and WE’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

  11. Mark you can’t blame rafa for hodgsons negative style of play, granted rafa was a defensive coach but compared to Roy his style looked brazilian. I don’t get all the blame being levelled at rafa, I’d have him back in a heartbeat right now. My only issue with rafa is the alonso departure.

  12. Anda to top things off its being reported on other sites that danny pacheco wants to leave as he’s disalusioned with the manager. Don’t know how true this is but if it is then I can’t really blame him as he’s been totaly overlooked. Not even a place on the bench since we last seen him against northampton.

  13. One mistake that Roy is making (that Rafa also made) is playing players in the wrong positions. Kuyt and Babel are strikers, yet they get put on the wing (although Kuyt does well there). It looks like the same thing might happen with Pacheco.

I think that JH may not get it either, but he acknowledges that he doesn’t know everything just yet and will listen to those around him. RH plays small club tactics, buys old players, and completely failed to rest players after Chelsea. We should buy Adam Johnson from city in the transfer window (supposedly he is unhappy) and keep an eye on Andy Carroll.

If first team players perform badly, there are youngsters willing to take their spots. Give them a chance.

    My formation:
    PR
GJ (or MK) MS JC EI
    RM (or LL) (CDM)
    MR DK (wings)
    JC SG
    FT

    4-3-2-1

  14. Kuyt had his chance as a striker but simply didn’t cut it. Rafa did well to turn a failed signing into a good one by shifting him out wide where his hard work could make up for a comparative lack of skill. Babel has the worst first touch out of all our attacking players and an awful work rate to go along with it. This makes him entirely unsuited as a sole striker, and doesn’t do enough to provide a foil for Torres in a two man up front system.

I remember seeing Babel in the U21(?) tournament (including the final) all those years ago and he was fantastic but since then he’s failed to adapt to a superior playing environment and, perhaps more tellingly, doesn’t seem to have the mentality to work hard enough at improving. A lesser league may be exactly what he needs to get his career back on track but frankly I think his time at LFC must be drawing to a close.

Adam Johnson will not come to LFC. We couldn’t afford the price that City would put on him, not when we’ve got a sizeable amount of changes that will need to be made.
