According to the Liverpool Echo, the 19-year-old has already agreed terms and will stay put until at least 2020, with the deal thought to be a reward for his impressive development so far this season.

Ibe has become an integral player for Brendan Rodgers’ side since returning from his loan spell at Derby County earlier this year, while he recently spoke about his desire to hold-down a first-team place for next season.

He was cup-tied for our FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday. His powerful runs and pace down the flanks proved to be sorely missed, as the Reds struggled to carve out opportunities.

The England youth team international is expected to return to the first-team for this weekend’s game with West Bromwich Albion, where he’ll be looking to build on the impressive form he’s shown during his first eight matches for the Reds this term.
