The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool and reportedly held talks with the latter earlier in the week, after meeting with Ian Ayre at a Manchester hotel (via the Daily Mirror).

Former Reds forward Dirk Kuyt had his say on the matter over the weekend, urging his countryman to choose Anfield over Old Trafford (via the Liverpool Echo), but by all accounts the youngster remains undecided.

Depay, who has scored 26 goals in all competitions for PSV Eindhoven this season, has at least ruled out having held discussions with United, as was again rumoured over the past seven days (via the Daily Star).

When asked about any potential deal being on the table, the Echo reports him as saying: “No. I know nothing myself so I have nothing to say. Otherwise I wouldn’t say this.

“Of course I’m looking at beautiful leagues. And then it’s always nice if clubs are interested. But I don’t want to say anything about that. We’ll see how things go.”

Depay first came to the attention of the masses at last summer’s World Cup, when he scored twice for the Netherlands on route to finishing in third place.
