Liverpool transfer news
As our official website states, Liverpool begin their tour in Bangkok on June 14, which will be the first of four fixtures in the space of ten days. Our round the world trip then concludes in Helsinki on August 1.
Supporters will no doubt be delighted to hear that they could get their first look at both Milner and Ings in less than two weeks’ time. Both players’ moves to Merseyside were confirmed today following the official opening of the transfer window and the expirations of their respective contracts at Manchester City and Burnley.
Milner, 29, joins Liverpool after five years at City. The England international won two Premier League titles as well as the FA Cup and League Cup during his time at the Etihad Stadium and brings with him a wealth of experience.
Ings, 22, was part of the Clarets side relegated from the Premier League in May. However, he was still able to shine on a personal level, top scoring with 11 goals and earning a spot in England’s Under-21 side for this summer’s European Championships.
